Who we are

Cowinx is an AI interview preparation assistant operated by the Cowinx development team. For any privacy question or request, contact us at support@cowinx.com.

Data we collect

• Account data: your email address and basic profile identifiers provided through Google sign-in.
• Billing data: your plan and payment status, which we receive from our payment provider. We never see or store your full card details.
• Usage data: session timing and operational logs used for product reliability and abuse prevention.
• Session content:the audio and on-screen content you choose to share during a session, processed to generate the transcripts and Q&A notes you request (see below).

Google user data

When you sign in with Google, we access your email address and basic profile (such as your name) solely to create and authenticate your account. We do not access your Gmail, Drive, contacts, or any other Google data.

Cowinx's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not sell it.

How we handle session audio and screen content

• Audio and screenshots are processed in real time by AI and transcription providers to produce your transcripts and Q&A notes. We do not retain the raw audio or the captured images.
• Transcript and Q&A text from a session may be saved to your account so you can review your past sessions. This text is private to your account and is deleted when your account is deleted.

How we use data

• To create your account and authenticate you via Google sign-in.
• To provide the transcription and practice Q&A features you request.
• To process one-time pass billing and manage your account.
• To monitor reliability and security, and to prevent misuse.

Sharing and sub-processors

We share data with service providers only as needed to operate Cowinx, by category:

• AI and transcription providers— to generate transcripts and Q&A notes from your session content.
• Cloud infrastructure providers — to host the service, database, and audio relay.
• Payment provider — our merchant of record, who processes purchases and refunds.
• Authentication provider — Google, for sign-in.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Data retention

We keep account and billing data for as long as your account is active and as needed for legal and dispute-handling obligations. Saved session transcripts are kept until you or we delete them, or until your account is deleted. Raw audio and screenshots are not retained after processing.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these, email support@cowinx.com from the address on your account. Deleting your account removes your account data and saved session transcripts.

Website analytics cookie

Cowinx uses a first-party analytics cookie to assign a random visitor ID so we can measure unique visitors and page performance, understand which pages are viewed, and see which download or login actions are used on our own website.

We do not use this cookie for cross-site advertising, targeted advertising, or selling personal information. We use it only for our own site analytics and product measurement.

Children

Cowinx is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
