Terms of Service

Cowinx is operated by the Cowinx development team ("we," "us"). By accessing or using Cowinx, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding agreement to use Cowinx.

Account and access

• Cowinx currently uses Google sign-in for account access.
• You are responsible for activity under the Google account you use to access Cowinx, and for keeping that account secure.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service or violate these Terms.

Acceptable use and your responsibility

You are solely responsible for how you use Cowinx and for ensuring your use is lawful. In particular:

• You must comply with all laws that apply to you, including those on recording, privacy, and consent in your location.
• You must comply with the rules of any interview, exam, employer, or platform you use Cowinx with. Cowinx is a tool; whether and how you may use it in a given setting is your decision and your responsibility.
• You may not use Cowinx for unlawful purposes, to infringe others' rights, or to attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the service.

Billing and passes

• Paid passes are sold and processed by our payment partner, Creem, acting as the merchant of record.
• Passes are one-time purchases and do not auto-renew. Payment methods are handled by Creem at checkout.
• Refunds are handled as described in our Refund Policy and are subject to Creem's terms and applicable law.

Intellectual property

Cowinx, including its software, design, and content, is owned by us and protected by applicable law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use the service. You retain ownership of the content you provide and the transcripts and answers generated for you; you are responsible for that content.

Service availability and updates

• We may update, improve, or discontinue features at any time.
• We aim for reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cowinx is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. AI-generated transcripts and answers may be inaccurate or incomplete, and you are responsible for reviewing and verifying them.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid for it in the 12 months before the claim.

Termination and changes

You may stop using Cowinx at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the service. We may update these Terms from time to time; material changes are effective when posted here, and your continued use means you accept them.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by applicable law. Billing and payment disputes are handled by Creem as the merchant of record, under Creem's terms. For everything else, contact us first and we will try to resolve the issue with you directly.
