Cowinx

Translation & language

Preparing in a language that isn't your strongest? Cowinx can transcribe spoken prompts, show a live translation under each line, and write code notes in the language you prefer. Three settings control all of it.

Three language settings

All three live in Settings → Meeting.

Meeting Language

The language spoken in the session. Cowinx transcribes the call in this language. Set it to match the prompt language, not your native language.

Translate To

Optional. Pick a language and Cowinx shows a running translation beneath the speaker transcript. Leave it Offwhen you don't need it. You can choose any supported language other than the meeting language.

Coding Language

Your preferred language for code notes — independent of the spoken language. A practice session in Japanese can still produce code notes in Python.

Live translation

With Translate To set, every spoken line gets a translation attached directly under it in the transcript, turn by turn, as they talk. A few things worth knowing:

  • Translation attaches to the other speaker's side of the transcript — not to your own speech.
  • It appears a moment after the original line, so the transcript stays readable in real time.
  • Q&A notes from Solve follow your Coding Language for code; explanations track the session context.

When to use it

  • Non-native session language. Set Meeting Language to theirs and Translate To yours, so you never miss a nuance in the question.
  • Confirm it in the pre-flight. Set both languages before the call and verify a line translates correctly during the pre-flight check.
  • Leave it off when you don't need it.If you're fluent in the session language, Off keeps the transcript cleaner.
